5 Tips to Make Your Social Media Boom
Social media is becoming more and more important in the business world, with post after post being seen, shared and liked by potentially thousands of people. You might be daunted by the prospect of it – how can your profile possibly stand out? If used properly, social media can catapult the popularity of your business, and here are our top 5 tips for social success.
1. Post regularly
On every social media platform, it’s important to be posting relevant content for your business at least every other day. It doesn’t have to be a long thought out post! You could even take a nice picture of the city out of your office window (not a difficult task to get a lovely photo from Studio 31!) and post it with a caption. Anything that keeps your profiles up to date, active and relevant is perfect!
2. Hashtags
It’s important to understand and use hashtags in posts, as they can really increase the reach of your business. Search for trending hashtags and make your posts current – this means people from anywhere in the world can reach your business profile!
3. Language
Most social media is informal and pretty casual, so using informal language will come across much better than using more formal terms. That being said, be careful not to you anything offensive or that could be badly misinterpreted – if in doubt, don’t post it.
4. Audience
Make posts about things that will appeal to your audience. Thank about your business type; who’s following you? What’s the age range? When will they be looking at social media? What are you trying to sell? It’s important to keep all these things in mind when thinking about what and when you’ll make a post.
(Bonus: take note of public holidays or big events going on in the area and time posts accordingly!)
5. Photos
Social media posts are much more appealing if there’s a good photo to go with them. Find a good quality photo that’s relevant to the post and make sure you give credit where it’s due! A good photo can really pull in your followers and visually your page will look much more active – a great start to get your social media up and running!
